Neon Ghosts
Concrete towers block the sky,
The streets are full, but no one's alive.
A million faces, not a single name,
This city's a machine, we're part of the game.
Neon signs hum, but they don’t speak,
The air is heavy, my voice feels weak.
We’re neon ghosts in a city of glass,
Haunted by dreams that we let pass.
Lost in the echoes of subway screams,
Fading away in the city's machine.
The park bench sits with no one there,
A snapshot of silence, no one cares.
Scrolling feeds, no hands to hold,
Connections bought, but they grow cold.
Streetlights flicker, but they don’t shine,
This city's crowded, but it’s not mine.
Alone in the crowd, voices dissolve,
An urban puzzle no one can solve.
I scream my name, but no one hears,
Just neon ghosts drowning in tears.
Concrete towers block the sky,
The streets are full, but no one's alive.
